Pierre Berloquin just joined us.

This is a small private space to talk about magic knight tours.

People on the list:

- Gunter Stertenbrink, who designed the idea of start/ending tours, and
provided the first programs to search tours.
- myself, who rewrote the code using assembly generated program. I spent a
lot of time trying to get the best possible speed on the Pentium 4.
- George Jelliss, the world knight tour specialist, who maintains the
complete list of magic knight tours. He has some work with our recent
progress :-)
- Tim Roberts who found 2 new tours recently, using a very good computer
program (I stole his idea of adjacency, and improved it)
- Hugues MacKay, who is putting all his efforts to compute the tours alone.
He uses 2 computers: one P4 3Ghz, and one Laptop (?). In 2 weeks, he already
finished around 40% of the work.
- Pierre Berloquin, the most famous french puzzlist. He has interest in
knight tours since, well, I was baby :-)

If you find other people that share the same interest, please invite them.

Here, we talk about the current progress of the 8*8 magic tour, and possible
extensions.
Since a distributed project can be setup in a few days, it would be cool if
we explore the most interesting directions where we can go.
For example: exploring 12*12 diagonal magic tours, or 8*8 with strange
leapers.
The program is ready, and we can distribute it to solve these problems with
interested people (I know where we could recruit people).
