the Flu Wiki Conference Call 2 audio / podcast is coming, but in the meantime, let me just create this thread so people have a place to post follow-up comments and links to the resources that were mentioned during the call.
I’m reviewing the recording now, and can say that so far it sounds like it recorded well. I’m aiming to have the audio up before the end of the weekend.
thanks again to all the participants. Good job by the presenters, and great questions and discussion by all.
for those just discovering this thread and not having seen the predecessor thread (and are asking “what the heck is he talking about?”), here’s the link to previous thread for appropriate context.
Keith, I would like to add my thanks to you for this project. While I would have loved to attend and listen, I am in school at the moment. (again)(My time is not my own….. A slave to those APA papers!)
I do not post often, but I try to read at least the news of the day. This project of yours will allow me to do other “mundane” chores like cleaning and ironing, and listen to the opinions and news updates of people whom I have come to respect.
The pandemic planning here in my county has just begun. Really! They have had 2 meaningful meetings……. one with break out sessions that mostly involved deciding what types of issues need to be addressed. Because we are rural, we will not have much to work with in getting much done. Money is scarce. The best we can hope for, is that the right information be made available to all.
So again Keith…… Thanks.
Thank you to Flu Wiki for providing a wonderful forum for discussion. You are the platinum standard. Here is a longer version of the synopsis of the Orange County, Florida plan that I presented.

Episode #2 of FluCasts: Community Pandemic Preparations
An excellent Flu Wiki conference call this time, with presentations by several participants, lots of general discussion, and then an update on the behind-the-scenes aspects of the Flu Wiki. The topic was stimulating, and the quality of the recording was pretty decent. Definitely worth the listen.
Thanks to all those who participated, and to all those who presented!

Listening now! Thank you!
Distracting background noises; not sure I could get officials to listen to it. (They’re a tough sell, anyway.)
Interesting to “listen” to the Wiki, though.
