I have been trying to keep track of the potentally helpful treatments. Some have been endorsed by WHO, HHS, etc. Others have been heard about in forums like this and have no guaranteed benefit. This is an effort to confirm potential efficacy, dosages, possible interactions between existing medications someone may be taking or considering.
None of this has been endorsed by Michael Donnelly or the moderators here. This is simply brainstorming and trying to keep track of an overwhelming amount of new information. I made a MS Access database listing names, descriptions, dosages (not all complete), links to monographs and references to supporting documentation. I know some items lists are not for everyone. There are about 100 items on the list and even taking everything may not save one life. There is too much speculation on the subject of pandemic influenza and we need to focus on the facts. I tried to classify items as anti-virals, respiratory support, circulatory support, antibiotics, etc.
The link to the database is on this page which was made to focus on clinical presentation (symptoms) and treatment (in the hospital and at home).

Can I get some feedback on the structure and potential utility of such a database? Am I spinning my wheels?

I can’t believe no one has responded to the availability of an online Flu Treatment Database. Isn’t this a framework that should be built upon? No vaccine. No enough antivirals. We need to coordinat treatment strategies and document what works and does not. We need a pandemic reference guide (that sounds familiar) that is available to everyone.
