Forum: Country We Are IN-Doing Much

I am located out near Death Valley but in the state of Nevada (or the state of confusion whichever the case may be). Nevada is in the United States, and nationally alot of talk at the federal level, but not alot filtering down at least to my county level (Nye County - 3rd largest county in the continental United States, home of nuclear test site, Yucca Mountain Radioactive Depository, Area 51 and the like). At the national level not much is going on in the news at all, so word of Avian Flu has fallen off the ledge, so to speak, and so no much preparing is being done. Is your country (or area, county, etc) doing much to get people to prepare? Out here Near Death Valley,,,,all is quiet and that forebodes future disaster concerning bird flu.
