Most economic indicators point to a recession on the horizon.
So I’ll pose the question.
How will a recession affect pandemic planning ?
In most recessions public tax receipts fall dramatically, causing budget cuts and program cuts.
So how do you see a recession affecting pandemic planning ?
How will a recession affect pandemic planning ? My estimation recession = less money with monies going for things that will stimulate the economy, deemed important enough by certain people which I don’t see any monies being spent for something like the flu.
Huge numbers of home owners face rising mortgage payments because of rising adjustable mortgae rates. More $$$ in order to keep your house means less money to spend on prepping. Recessions also means more unemployment, which also means less money for prepping. The Fed is holding rates for right now because they think the economy is cooling and they don’t want it to grind to a halt. Uncertainty about jobs, salaries, etc. are stressful enough without having to worry about AF. Let’s hope things simply cool, not go into a deep freeze.
Oh yea, and if the US has less money coming in that means less money going out to other countries who desperately need help - many of which have rampant AF in birds.
bump
It’s already affecting me- we are self employed, in the home industy, and slow sales have kept me from adding to my preps- and my armhasn’t kicked in yet, hopefully will sell by then!
…so many typos, so little time!…
Well, if my situation is any indication, it will kill us all. Being unemployed and having no money for preps after just paying rent, utilities, and food will equal death if this monster rises from the depths anytime soon. Sorry to be so fatalistic, but truth sometimes sucks.
