Sorry. Today (and yesterday) was a bad day and a good laugh helps ease the tension. I have just realized that although I thought I was pretty well prepped, I have realized that some people in my environment are going to be liabilities, and there are going to be some very tough decisions to make. To come back to Monotreme’s story, I am a “Pete” in the making. In fact, I did tell the fellow prepper I found at my workplace today that I would not hesitate to suture a leg wound myself if I had to. Nor would I hesitate to injure and maim trespassers on my property. I believed all along for the last few months that being a “Pete” would be the best option, but is it? Would it not be possible to be a “Pete” and a “Louie” at the same time? I.e. be a lucky prepper?

Enza, what sort of booze do they pour in Q Lake? Maybe Daddy Swan drunk too much of it and died of DT? Maybe that’s why he was looking at dead chickens a 100 miles away? Next we know drunk promiscuous influenza virii will belong to the STD class?
FrenchieGirl, Y’Quem does come in a clear bottle. Maybe a 3 Liter wouldn’t be noticed.
Oh God, I’m so clueless I just read both threads trying to figure out what would happen to preppy people like those in Grosse Pointe Michigan. I’ve been away from this site for too long not to have garnered the correct meaning of preppy.
In the sense of Grosse Pointe and where I live preppy was a way of dressing and a code of behavior. Usually preparatory private schooling. Really preparing to fit in by wearing similar clothes, acting in a certain way. Preppers in the flu world are a little more flexible. If preppies in the original sense had someone they admired do it, so would they, like sheep. And they might do it with some style and flair. The ones I have known are organized and get things done. If the private schools got on the flubie wagon, things would get rolling. They are really strong women who get results.At least that is my observation of the group you mention.
