Any news about the well-known warehouse flu scandal of Detroit? Any Asian restaurants in Detroit that you would recommend?

Chesapeake – at 07:19 --- I’ve just never heard of it referred to as the “well-known warehouse flu scandal of Detroit”. I don’t think any of the illegal meat was infected.

Scandal? Not.

BB, pretty scandalous to those like me in the area. From what I understand, the smuggled chicken was destroyed without testing; when wind of the operation blew to higher levels, they ran around testing random chicken in area chinese restaurants to see if it had bird flu. @@ They didn’t find any, or any of the obviously smuggled chicken. Of course, it wasn’t labelled “smuggled” or anything, and one raw chicken tends to resemble another pretty much anyway. The whole operation smacked of a clumsy Keystone CYA in case someone ended up with Bird Flu in a downtown hospital.
