During the transition to the new Congress the Democratic Party has stated a strong interest in improved
oversight. Two subcommittees that I found that might have oversight on pandemic preparedness (with
members listed for the current session) are:
House emergency planning subcommittee
Senate Subcommittee on Disaster Prevention and Prediction
I suggest that tracking the committee assignments in the new congress and the preparation of factual materials, packets of information, and raising questions about preparedness for a pandemic might
be a worthwhile community effort.
You would need to understand the staff structure for committee & subcommittee members to do this.
Looking for constituents of committee members might also be useful.
anyone interested?

The wiki has a page for a statement
by Senator Reid in 2005. He and Senators Harkin, Kennedy, Obama were proposing a ammendment for
funding of pandemic preparedness.
