Forum: Effect of New Mutations on Receptor Protein Folding

What do you think, what is the in vivo effect of these new mutations on the receptor binding site protein folding and the receptor mutation? Even though there is (if I understood correctly) now gene sequences similar to human influ A and human influ B adjacent to receptor binding site, what does it actually (really?) mean to the protein folding and receptor function?
