The moderators have done a great job with this website. The weak part of the site is its flat file construction which makes load times long and will get really problematic when TSHTF. I am willing to offer funding of $500 to make this site a database system. Who else will contribute and how much.
Moderators, is this something you can explore and how much will it cost to do. When TSHTF we need a lighting quick forum.

I’m on part time status due to illness, but feel that the ability to access the hive mind of the Wikie is worth investing in. Most of us have invested money in preps, why not invest in a way to get the earliest breaking news of the outbreak of PanFlu?
All of the preps in the world won’t do you any good if you end up catching PanFlu due to lack of knowledge of unreported outbreaks. We all (nearly all) pay for car insurance, home insurance etc. Why not pay (donate) a little to the “FluWikie Insurance Plan” to help keep the knowledge flowing in a speedy manner?
I’ll kick in a hundred to get the system “bullet proofed” so that I have a better chance of knowing when to “duck and cover” BEFORE it’s too late.
How about you? Is advance warning (even 24 hours warning) that TSHTF worth contributing the equivalent of a few bags of rice and beans? I hope it is, your life may depend on it.
I appreciate this post. The new Forum will be a big improvemnt. as to funding, it’s a real and ongoing issue. We went though the trouble of becoming a non-profit and will be asking for donations at some near-future point.
Please hold off your generosity a bit longer… we have to get the checks cashed that you’ve already sent (set back by Melanie’s illness - she is recovering) and make sure we do it properly.
But as Arnie said, on that count, “I’ll be back”.
