Please list what websites you’ve found for good prices on masks.

Pseudorandom – at 10:02

Hi K from Mi - I used utilitysafeguard.com. I can’t say that they have the best prices or selection, but they had what I needed at comparable prices to other sources (as best as I could tell, anyways) and seemed to be a reputable company.

http://www.allheart.com/masks.html

I recently bought 60 N95 1500 series, 2 boxes of medium and 1 small, shipping and all total was $60 and change. Not’em in 5 days.

I talked to a manager about a group buy, but no go. Still a great deal though.

Not’em = Got’em

For gosh sakes, get masks with a valve. If the unvalved masks let you breathe easy, it means you’re sucking air from around the edges and the mask is doing no good.A well fitting unvalved mask feels like a hand over your mouth to me.

Don’t buy Nanos! But you know that, right?

Surgical masks are a joke.

Trusted brands are 3M, Moldex, North.

Moldex lasts the longest in use, by far.

Some cheaper price companies are drop-shipping from foreign countries, they will backorder your masks and you’ll wait forever.

PlanForFlu.com - Moldex N952300 - Wherever you order from, read the mask info page on this site for a fair warning. Masks should be used along with SOCIAL DISTANCING. They are not perfect protection, or even close.

Masks without valves for those that are sick.

Fitted RESPIRATORS with P100′s for those that don’t want to get sick.

N95 paper masks are a joke, but then we’ve already had that discussion here about a dozen times.

We’ve been told we have to use respirators with P100′s.

We can’t even use SCBA’s in the fire service in a pandemic, because the air used to fill them is not filtered.

Not true. Once you put one on,you can feel the air with your hand going through the mask. Valved ones simply let the exhaled air (and moisture) out easier, thus are more comfortable for longer periods. I don’t plan on wearing these for a long period of time, so these are fine. Besides, the valves are no more than a flap. If it malfunctions you may not know it, but you will 3 days later. I tried one of these while doing a lot of very dusty work. It was obvious where the air had been going through. If you are worried about a seal around the mask you might want to check out a full biohazard suit.(Not in my budget) Also there are threads that discuss mask. This thread is for prices.

Good day.

Could you please tell me why we should not buy nano masks. I am sure there has been a discussion on this, but I can’t find it. Thank you!!

Bird Guano – at 11:30

Nano mask has received a violation letter from the FTC for illegal claims on NIOSH certification.

It’s on the FDA website. I don’t have the link handy.

Nanomask is not NIOSH certified as a repsirator for anything. Even dust.

orange-brown – at 11:33

thank you Bird Guano, and I was just about to buy some…..it’s always good to check in with FW

K from Mi – at 11:36

Thanks for the sites. Would a mask worn by a person that was sick, decrease the risk to others but increase the risk to the wearer?

Alpha Pro Tech. N95 masks that are of the flexible surgical type. Easier to fit particularly on children.

Try www.kkind.com (KK Industries). They have them listed as “Flu mask recommendations.” They sell 3M brand and seem to have good prices. I bought some of the N95 8511 w/ respirators about a year ago (40 for $63.) Need to order some w/out resp. now.

They offer the 3M 8233 N100 in a box of 20 for $131. No idea if this is a good price for those or not.

Please note that they have an announcement at the bottom of the flu mask page announcing that their credit card processing is temporarily down until Monday, Nov. 20. Hope this helps.

Lab Safety Supply http://www.labsafety.com/

AOSafety “Pleats Plus” N95 masks are comfortable, I believe the medium/large size is supposed to fit 80% of people http://tinyurl.com/urn2m They have lots of surface area, which makes for easier breathing, without an exhalation valve

Debbie in Ala – at 12:15

Sorry, just realized I said “respirators” instead of “exhalation valves.”

Northstar – at 13:06

QC Supply (farm supply) looks like it has the masks I got for a lot less. Darn.

JV – at 13:30

This is the site from which I ordered. I have had a good response time from them.

Orlandopreppie – at 13:55

I almost hate to give this out, but you guys have been so good to me I thought I should. I just gave it to my brother, Lord I hope he ordered already. Anyway, here’s the name of the website. http://www.coopersafety.com/cart/index.cfm

They had a box of 20 3m N95 for 14.95. That’s the best price I’ve found…no valve but money was just so tight I had to live with it. Maybe I can upgrade now, they have many others but I don’t know how those prices compare.

JV – at 14:13

Orlandopreppie -

It depends which N95 you want, but at the site I referred to some 3M N95 (8210) are $11.28 for 20:

Thanks JV, I ordered this summer and until now Cooper Safety had the lowest price. I think I’ll order some for Christmas presents for my family. Some prep, some don’t. I’ll give more to those who DON’T prep.

K from Mi – at 17:28

JV, thanks for the envirosafety link. I’ve ordered from Cooper Safety but your link was better - more selection and prices worked out to be cheaper, even with the shipping.

Fishingmap – at 21:26

We use this company - not sure about this mask being great for virus but we use it for dust protection at work.

7210 N95 Particulate Respirator

What price did you get on those masks? They look great! Very hard to get a mask that a child can wear. They even look more comfortable than the 3M ones. Also how was the shipping?
