Its their epidemiological report on flu, including seasonal flu. It’s 24 pages and it will take forever for me to translate. But I will read through it and post if there is anything important.

The introduction gives the summary of global H5N1 infections to date. In addition to diseased poultry and environmental exposure, China has the additional problem of human cases with no known contact with dead poultry or healthy chickens carrying the virus.

Out of 20 confirmed cases, 14 were farmers. Apart from 1 case in Xinjiang where no cause could be found, the rest all had definite history of poultry deaths in the area. The 6 cases from the cities all had history of visiting live poultry markets.

Of these 20 cases, they traced 1862 contacts. 12 of these had fever, but none tested positive for H5 infection.

That’s it for now. Gotta go.
