As a human resource manager I have a responsibility to keep our employees safe. One area where I’m struggling is in preparation of corporate pandemic policies. I have been searching for several months and I have found very little in terms of resources. The specfic policy areas include extraordinary leave, working from home, distancing, and compensation. Can anyone recommend or share policies? I would be happy to compile any material that is provided and post in an appropriate place on this site.

Wayne in Calgary - Sherry Cooper at BMO Nesbitt Burns (Canada) took the lead in advising businesses about a potential pandemic long before it was fashionable to do so. There have been a lot of media reports done which includes their advice. Some other ideas:

In short, you are in very new territory Wayne in Calgary. The kinds of issues you are facing are very new to every business. Please share what you can about the policies your company chooses to enact, as well as any insight you can give to the processes and obstacles that bring you to the choices you will make. Many others are or will shortly be looking for the same kinds of information, and this may be your chance to be a pioneer. :-)
