Any suggestions for best/cheapest/brightest LED fixtures, replacement bulbs and lighting.

Bird Guano posted some info a while back on some really economical LED’s. I think he was using auto tail light fixtures.

BG?

Yep, tail light fixtures and replacement 1156 and 1157 12 volt LED bulbs off of Ebay.

Good for task/reading light, and I also have them as backup area lighting (bounce it off the back wall) for my radio room.

You can even get red to preserve your night vision.

Cheap, long life, low power consumption and easy to wire up and maintain.

Compact fluorescents for trailers have also been mentioned for more area lighting, but they draw more power, and for me, draw too much unwanted attention.

For emergency lighting I prefer the LED’s.
