Received this info today from our county health department-
“Youth Organized for Disaster Action (Y.O.D.A.)
Beginning in September 1, 2006, Schools in Alabama, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and South Carolina will have an opportunity to develop their own Y.O.D.A. teams to connect disaster mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery to their classroom curriculum.
Eligible applicants may apply for a maximum award of $10,000.
This Request for Proposal (RFP) is for the grant agreement period of December 1, 2006 through August 31, 2007. Subsequent funding will be based on completion of grant requirements.
Application deadline: 4:00 P.M. Thursday October 26, 2006
