Forum: Question-Thread for Teens Good Idea

I put this on the other wiki site but wanted to test the waters here. What do you think?

Has anyone thought about starting a thread for their teen/pre-teen children to view? My children have expressed interest in blogging but I do not allow them to because of the dangers involved. They have also expressed interest in BF but sometimes kids learn better from each other. This might be a safe place for youngsters to come (with our permission)and ‘tawk’. They will obviously be closely monitored by everyone here. Remember, it takes a village. The trick would be to let them be, as long as they are on topic. Mabye pick a mod to drop questions in there every now and then to keep it going. Any thoughts? Is this worth trying? I know there are some issues with setting up a room like this but they are the future…

PS: I can’t get question marks to show up in the thread title. sorry

crazy mother – at 21:45

My daughter had to do a 3min speech to her class today(topic of her choice) and I suggested bird flu.Initially she resisted because she didn’t want “the entire world knowing that she had a weird mother” who thinks about things like BF.Eventually she agreed because she couldn’t think of any possible alternative topic.I will pass on any interesting feed-back when she gets home, assuming that she is still talking to me.ha
