I had a thought, we are all trying to get our communities and local businesses to be more aware and prepare.

Here is a link to find different chamber of commerceses.

Click on the map on the location you are interested in.

It will give you links to local chambers. Chamber people are very involved in their communities and often have the pulse of the local area.

If we contact them, send them the press release and any other data deemed apropriate, talk with them on the phone…they may be able to get the word out thru their weekly/monthly meeting…fax rush to members.

So what do you think? Will it work?

The more, the merrier. Or, at least, preparing.

Or, at least, given a clearer heads-up…

I know the woman who is prez of our COC is already doing pandemic preparedness presentations to her members, etc. I think this would be a good approach.

A lot of the chambers have links and contact info for their members too, including local newspapers. This could be used to send out press releases to different news papers and local media.
