(another public feedback opportunity - promoted by DemFromCT)

“With this RFI, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) requests input from the public on considerations in developing guidance for prioritization of the distribution and administration of both pre-pandemic and pandemic influenza vaccines based on various pandemic severity and vaccine supply scenarios. Specifically, HHS is seeking input on pandemic influenza vaccine prioritization considerations from all interested and affected parties, including but not limited to public health and health care individuals and organizations, as well as those from other sectors of the economy including, for example, travel and transportation, commerce and trade, law enforcement, emergency management and responders, other critical infrastructure sectors and the general public.” bluetide :: CDC Requesting Public Comment on Vaccine Prioritization http://aspe.hhs.gov/… Above is the website, which can also be accessed by going to pandemicflu.gov and following prompts there. This is a great opportunity to make your views known; especially to express that perhaps the ‘traditional’ at risk groups should not necessarily be in the top tiers due to the unique focus of this virus on the under 40 age group.

My views have more to do with ‘’‘Why are they spending time on that

when they haven’t told the public about H5N1 and a Influenza Pandemic Year yet? About the current CFR and ages affected by H5N1?’‘’

Public isn’t ready, won’t be many left alive by the time any vaccine ever turns up; let those there figure that out if and then.

Save some lives now by being honest with the public.

Stop distracting them reassurringly by mentioning vaccines so often.

Try some HHS/CDC PSAs about

…”Establish a Pandemic Preparedness Coordinating Committee that represents all relevant stakeholders in the jurisdiction (including governmental, public health, healthcare, emergency response, agriculture, education, business, communication, community based, and faith-based sectors, as well as private citizens) and that is accountable for articulating strategic priorities and overseeing the development and execution of the jurisdiction’s operational pandemic plan.”…

local governments did not do this; citizens better make them themselves ; prep for supply chain disruptions and figure out how to meet each others needs without spreading whichever strains of panflu and other viruses are around when medical care and mortuary services will be overwhelmed after the first fortnight.
